It's No Joke, My Telephone Broke

This book is part of the I’m a Great Little Kid Series, which is published in conjunction with the Toronto Child Abuse Centre, who believe that empowering young children makes them less vulnerable.

Done in rhyme, these six full-of-fun picture books, aim to empower by instilling young children with confidence, self-esteem, respect.

It’s No Joke My Telephone Broke, about the importance of communication starts:

“Hey Amon, stop and wait for me,
Let’s sit for a while under that tree,
I want to tell you what happened today,
Just wait till you hear what I have to say!”

The class learns about the importance of communication, and of having the courage to speak up, through the game of Broken Telephone.
